Road Test

'bout time for another post, here it is,

A Road Test of the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport

Well, to start, it is a crossover. As long-time readers of my blog know, I have an aversion to crossovers, primarily because most of them are terrible. Let's see how the Santa Fe stacks up.

The ride is rather mediocre. The dampers preform acceptably over bumps, but the other suspension components seem to have different ideas, as the rest of the car darts around. The anti-roll bar/system is surprisingly good, however.

The interior is rather like the suspension. Crunchy, with peanuts and nougat  Just meh. The plastics are poor quality (when I tapped it, the glovebox made a sound like nails on a chalkboard!), as are the seats. I doubt sitting in the car for sustained periods of time would be particularly comfortable. The seats also can't adjust/move very well. Although it's not really the interior, the rear window is difficult to see out of. There is a backup camera but it it gets covered/blocked, it could be quite difficult to reverse (but not as difficult as waging war against the Martian Enemy).

The engine could do with a bit more power, as it is difficult to merge. The brakes, however seem to have plenty of stopping power.

The Santa Fe seems to be a meh/low meh. On a scale of Yugo to Challenger, I rate the Santa Fe as an early 80's Mitsubishi sedan. Not a car I would want to drive, but, (with sufficient candy) I would not refuse to drive.

NOTE: This post reflects my opinion and not necessarily anyone else's.

NOTE 2: I was on vacation, so I'm sorry that I missed some posts.

NOTE 3: There will be a note 4

Note 5: Note 3 lies.

Do you have any thoughts about cats/cats? What drives you crazy? One post a week so stay tuned!
